Job Summary

Responsible for scheduling patient appointments for all outpatient services of the facility. Records statistics as requested.  Perform other clerical duties as needed. Prepares daily patient scheduled for surgery and short stay procedures and delivers to all appropriate departments.  Professional must know basic anatomy abd medical terminology.  Must have knowledge of current CPT codes.  Assist in answering high volume telephones in the clinic and OR in a professional and polite manner , and communicates information to appropriate personnel.  Assist in achieving goals for revenue and growth of surgical volume by effectively managing all bariatrics surgeon with anticipation of growth in the clinic.  Assist to increase and maintain patient and physician satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

Must have experience in electronic medical records preferably   •Completion of medical terminology course or medical secretary program or prior related experience. (required). •Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint (required) •Knowledge of Epic computer program (preferred) •Current BCLS certification. (required) •Knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 codes (required) 
Minimum of 2 years experience as a scheduler. (required) •Minimum of 2 years experience in a medical office.  (required)
•Basic compute knowledge, data entry programs, word processing programs. (required)
