Job Summary

Under general supervision of a licensed care giver, The Mental Health Worker/CNA delivers patient care and performs basic procedures for an assigned group of patients.  Assists patients with activities such as eating, walking, and personal hygiene.  Records and reports vital signs and dispenses/retrieves patient care supplies he/she maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.


Current CA CNA certification (required) current BLS (required) Associate Degree or College Diploma (preferred). Workplace Violence and CPI training (preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire) Basic computer knowledge (preferred). Min of 1 yr. of comparable work exp providing care for patients with mental health conditions (required)
