Job Summary

Responsible for performing various administrative support duties. Prepares reports, memos, correspondence, meeting minutes, special projects, etc.  Maintains appointment schedules for the Unit Director.  Answers the telephone in a professional manner, screens calls, takes messages, directs calls appropriately.  Sorts, logs and distributes all incoming mail; identifies/prioritizes mail that needs immediate attention.  Coordinates activities, time/attendance tasks, and assists with Payroll processing.    Maintains an organized, efficient filing system. 

Qualifications:  Three to five years’ experience in similar position (required).  Acute hospital or healthcare experience (preferred).  Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing (required).  Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills (required).  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (required).  Knowledge of additional software/systems (preferred).  Ability to type 65 words per minute (preferred). Ability to operate office equipment (required).
